Mewsette, called Mewsie, is Allie's kitten and came from Mrs. Hauser's cat, Lady Serena Archibald's, litter of kittens. Mewsie was first introduced in the second book Moving Day. It was originally thought that Mewsette was female, but at the vet's at the end of The New Girl it is discovered that Mewsette is male. Therefore Allie calls him Mewsie.
